I’d seen these floral pants before while thrifting but they were two sizes too small. When I came across them again recently on sale at my favourite consignment store I snapped them up.
Do you find floral trousers too busy?
Compared to skirts or dresses I find that they can overwhelm my eyes quite quickly, thus why I’ve stuck with a plain tee and shoes.
This is my fourth fifth pair of floral trousers…but hey! who’s counting?
And if it’s you…stop!
Five Floral Pants For Fall
Once it starts to cool down I’ll pair this same outfit with one of my leather or suede jackets. Right now we’re still enjoying beautiful summer weather.
Did you notice how wearing my tee untucked visually shortens my legs? I’ve sacrificed leg length for relaxed style. Life is all about compromise. At least that is what my husband is always telling me.
Do you own any floral pants? Are they strictly for summer or do you wear them throughout the year?
BTW…my upcoming vintage show can be accessed here.

I’ve never been good at wearing floral pants. I remember buying two, wearing one and then giving away or selling both of them. Heh. I really love that first pair. You styled it perfectly! Your hair looks amaaaazing, by the way! 😀

Love the floral pants …. looking great as always!
I love floral trousers and have many, many pairs – but I wear them as loungewear! I have just one pair that I wear out in summer/on hols. Yours are fab, and well done on tracking them down x
I think all your outfits look fun, obviously this style works for you.
I have some pants with pattern , maybe a few even with florals (strictly for summer), but I tend to stick with solids (or very sedated pattern) for pants. I always think there’s no need to draw extra attention to the widest part of my body…
I also agree with this and I think that is why I stayed away from this style for so long. In fact I wrote a whole post about why this type of pants isn’t good for me

Oh how times change…
Hooray for eventually finding the trousers you wanted in the right size, secondhand shopping is full of surprises.
All of your collection is wonderful on you, you wear them so well.
No floral trousers in my collection – I’ve got vintage catsuits and a single pair of 1970s bellbottoms but all the prints are either geometric or paisley. I haven’t worn either for ages, you’ve inspired me to dig them out. xxx
Like you, I initially disliked floral pants because they seem so busy but I’ve gotten over that. (Funny how that happens when something I dislike becomes popular.) You look great in these. I don’t believe they are limited to Summer.
I don’t think of you as short. Due to your big personality, I just see you as closer to the ground. 🙂
Ha ha! That’s how I’m going to sell it from now on : )
I don’t see anything visual shortening of legs. Tucked or untucked.. you look fantastic in these outfits. All of them. The new one withe the green and the one with the yellow top are my favourites. But it is hard to choose.
Greetje
Yay, for floral trousers, and yay, for them on you! The untucked shirt really is neither here nor there apart from the laid back, casual look you’re touting. You look fabulous in all of these and I can see how that would lead to buying more to repeat the experience.
I’ve tried to follow the link to your upcoming sale but it didn’t work. I’d love to read up on it so perhaps you can link it again in your next post?
Have a lovely weekend x

Try this Anna and let me know if it still doesn’t work for you.

I’m with Greetje and Anna, you look wonderful in all of these outfits Suzanne.
I’m a huge fan of print pants. I love florals, geometrics, teeny dots, embroidery, all forms of print. Like you, I always feel like I should ask my husband, “does my butt look big in these?” , but hey, isn’t an ample ass all the rage right now??
So, I’m going to wear them anyway.
I have a few pairs of brocade (?) (tone on tone floral) that I wear in the winter. One of them is a kind of corduroy!
I just love your floral print pairings Suzanne! Hey! I even have two pairs of suede floral print booties! A luscious print is irresistible.
Oooh! Floral print booties! I’m lusting after a few pairs of those right now.
What a fabulous collection of floral pants Suzanne and you look gorgeous in all of them. I wear my floral skinny jeans all year round and I’m wearing my pink florals in today’s post! I have planned to show my collection someday and funny enough, I have 5 pair too! I fell in love with printed skinny jeans the moment I saw them in a window display. Went right in and bought them. In the ’60s, I used to sew my own floral bell-bottoms. I had a groovy collection. Wish I still had them. *sigh*

i love floral pants, and I think they’re perfect to be worn the whole year around!!
Your collection looks awesome, and love how you styled them, such a comfy&cool outfit!. I agree with you: untucked tees visually shorten legs, but they also look relaxed and cute and I like them anyway!
