My girlfriend and I went downtown to catch Peter Case at a club last week. The show was amazing. He played for 2.25 alone on stage in a very intimate club.
Although I took piano as a kid people that have a natural musical talent are like magicians to me. I wish I had even a fraction of that kind of musical talent.
We went downtown early and wanted to check out a few of the good thrift/vintage stores on Queen St. I needed a look that could go from day to night with only a quick change in the car at the parking lot.
I wonder what Superman does. There are no more phone booths to make these kind of quick clothes changes in anymore. Probably changes in his car in a parking lot.
This is what I came up with.
I'm calling it "retro French internantional spy girl" since Superwoman is already taken.
Or simply…RFISG. I've started printing t-shirts already.
Now all I need is a comic book series and 3 blockbuster movies.
Booties & Cardigan – TJ Maxx, Dress – consignement, Belt – Anthro, Handbag – vintage, Scarf – ModCloth
Then take off the sweater, belt, scarf, hat and boots in the car and voilà…
I'm naked.
I do wear underwear.
Sometimes.
TMI?
Kidding.
Here is the new evening outfit…
Club ready.
By far we were the best dressed at the club. I kinda like that though.
I'd rather be overdressed than under dressed any day.
Both the dress and the clutch are thrift/consignment finds.
Shoes are very old bought at TJ Maxx, tights – Joe Fresh, Necklace – Made by Me : )
Please ignore the uncut grass. Hubby is away and I'm not good with the lawn mower, yard maintenance and any kind of manual labour in general.
Remember I'm an international spy (not Superwoman).

Yep, you nailed it. Well played!
wonderful quick-change, Suzanne. I love the necklace you made, and the jaunty beret. now, burn this message after you receive it : >
You are totally an international spy. You completely changed identities and look gorgeous both ways. So, if you do get a comic book series and 3 blockbuster movies, do I get to play the evil twin? Bahaha…umm, ya, that was my evil laugh.

This outfit is super chic and adorable Suzanne! And I didn’t know you made beautiful jewelry… I neglected to see the shop (at the top) all this time. I have a wish list now! xoxox
I like your spy outfit, but am extra impressed to how easily and successfully it transformed into a nighttime, fun times outfit. I’m always wary of the day-to-night looks because they always seem too much one or the other but you really nailed it on the head!
There’s something very dreamy and nostalgic about the first outfit. It’s something I expect to see in an Anthropologie catalog. Well done! And that necklace is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t believe you made it yourself! You are truly multitalented!
WOW!! You look soooo coooool!! I’m lovin’ purple and you’ve put this together with two great looks!
Let me know when the movie comes out!

You are an international woman of fabulousness in both outfits, I can’t imagine anyone could have looked better. You’ve got killer legs and I adore those sunnies and the necklace you made! I agree, far better to be overdressed than under! xxx
Definately there will be a role for my evil hair twin! LOL
I haven’t been making much new jewelry lately. Been too involved with the house renos as of late : )
So true that these kind of looks can be a bit awkward. I have a feeling this dress is a winner though.
PS 1966 just got even better! I’m in fabulous company! xxx
You look adoarble in both!

Oh my–love both looks–you do look like you could kick Mrs. Peel’s butt !!
Hello Suzanne,
you look like ready for visiting the Louvre or Galeries Lafayettes. I love your Parisian look and particularly the blouse with the dogs. The change is well done, you look marvellous.
Purple is matching wonderful to the color of your hair.

You look amazing!!! I love this day to night look, they’re so different. I also have the doggy scarf, it’s the cutest!
