I did this just to see how many patterns I could get into one outfit. Floral and polkadots? Check.
I wanted to shock the genius at the “Genius Bar” today. It didn’t work. She had dreadlocks, and loads of tattoos and those wooden things they put in their ears.
I think she was kinda of shocked when she turned on my computer though.
It acts like it is possessed. Horror movie possessed. Scary glow-in-the-dark green buzzing lines, flickers, strobe lights and spasms possessed. Like a demon is trying to claw its way out and take over the world.
After a mere two hours at the genius bar and consultations with at least 5 other geniuses, most of them standing around and staring in awe at the spectacle that was my computer screen, it was agreed that the graphics card is toast and must be replaced.
I curse you Apple! All the crap about the computer that will never fail. Best marketing brainwashing ever.

Sad thing is I am now in too deep with them. We own 2 laptops, 1 ipad and 1 iphone.
They now have my computer for 7-10 days due to the long list of repairs on the computers and technology that “never fails”.
I am in full swing on my self-taught speed course on how to use a laptop.
If I had to use this screen daily I would be blind in a month.
Happy Days : )
Joy Joy.

Ugh. Computer problems are no fun. I’ve never owned anything Apple anyways…I guess perhaps it hurts less when a computer breaks and at least it wasn’t that expensive to begin with…
Sorry to hear about your troubles Suzanne, but you look great!!
I am a Mac girl and love it, never had any problems since the 90s when my son introduced us to the age of computers and prepared us for the new millennium! My PC friends are always getting viruses and talk about crashes and loosing everything. My daughter-in-law got a new PC and in only a few months it broke down and she lost everything.
I recently bought an external hard-drive backup (thanks to my son suggesting it) just in case. It feels good to know all is safe.
Your Apple friend,
♥ carmen

I remember well the days we had a big ol’ Mac to do professional video editing back in the late ’90s. Every week my husband had to take the side off it, fiddle around, add a new card, more memory, more external drives. Of course, some of the problems may have been the software, but I realized my least favorite thing in the world is watching my husband have to fix a computer! Thank god those days are over – his new Mac works, and I’m in an office with IT staff!
I love your melange of patterns! Floral and dots always look good, and I really like the mixed patterns on the shirt. Nothing scary about that!
The computer woes sound dreadful, but at least you pattern mix like a genius, Suzanne! Love that shirt, and florals and polka dots are the perfect antidote to technological breakdowns! xxxx
So sorry to hear your computer is having troubles 🙁
Super pretty! Love this combo!
Sorry to hear about your long wait for a fix – the Apple store had our “Big Mac” for ten days once and we thought we would die from missing it (first world problem, anyone?). Love, love that shirt. xox
Computer troubles? It would be dreadful for me to stay 10 days without my Tab, so I understand what you mean… hold on! If it can help, your hair is fab!
Polka dots and flowers looks a great ( and unusual ) combination…
Sorry for your ‘puter troubles. Can’t believe you really bought the Apple propaganda! Surely not. Not so much that it’s Apple but that it’s said to be fail-safe! Good you have backup. I pass my old laptops on to Dan so he can ruin them and won’t mess with mine!
You look fabulous! What great combinations … I’m beginning to think you have a fail-safe sense of style, that’s what!
Ahhh…but on the bright side…that is a freakin’ awesome outfit my friend! At least the demon wasn’t unleashed while it was still at your house. That would kind of suck.

The horrible feeling when technology breaks down, it’s blooming dreadful! still, your patterns are a delight, it’s an excellent mix x x x
Computer problems are the worst. Your outfit pattern mixing is great. I work on a apple too and it’s been fine but my Ipad is slowing down. Ready to buy in Iphone, you are making me think twice about this.

I love this outfit on you probably because its such fun pattern mixing!! Sorry to hear about your computer problem continues. At least it’s being fixed while you are in the sun.
Our family is knee deep with apple…phones, laptop, iPad and Apple TV. We can not have anything break on us.

Your computer drama sucks big time!:-(. Hope it gets resolved well and soon!
Your outfit on the other hand works perfectly; gorgeous! Totally up my alley; more is more!
You look great with all the prints going on.
Sorry for all the computer woes but on the bright side Spring is near!
Happy Weekend to you and yours!
It were your warnings about your transfer from Windows to Mac which made me realize it might not be “plug and play” but “plug and pray”. So I researched it a bit longer than I would have without your warning and found out I really had to learn a lot too if I wanted to operate this “user friendly, easy does it”- computer. So I bought a Samsung All-in-one desk computer. Looks very nice and no Apple learning. Even though I am an Apple fan (iPad and iPhone).
So thank you Suzanne. And you have my sympathy with your troubles.
Love your blouse and necklace.

Kyle and I wage an Apple war in this house. I was gifted with an iPad at my former school as a teaching tool, and it was so easy-peasy to use that when “new phone time” rolled around, I had to go with the iPhone. Kyle despises Apple and their “restrictive” products that he can’t hack and mess with. We need a new laptop, and the war wages on about whether it will be a Mac or PC. For now, it seems it’ll be nothing, and we’ll just be increasingly frustrated as we continue to use this POS and stubbornly refuse to compromise with one another.
I love that you dressed to “impress” the geniuses. Lol I feel like Kyle and I love hipster shops and bars, but we so don’t look the part or fit in. We walk in and everyone’s bearded and in their thrift store clothes rolled up over their tattooed arms. And then there’s Kyle, unironically, the true blue nerd. And me, in my pink frocks and glitter, like a pudgy little fairy. We’re so not cool. lol

I adore your description of yourselves. LOL
Apple schmapple. I wouldn’t be so annoyed if they didn’t claim to be a whole lot of stuff they obviously are not. I do like how all of my products work seamlessly together.
Good luck with your dispute. I wonder who will cave in first…
In all honestly I didn’t find learning a Mac hard. There are a few things that are stupid. Like you can’t right click in any program to delete or rename files. That is a HUGE pain in the butt. Whomever thought of that was on crack and I hate them. This does not streamline my work flow.
Also their iPhoto program makes renaming files problematic. I don’t like it. The way a Mac stores information might be quicker to retrieve for accessing (or so they claim) but I can say that it doesn’t make my life easier. I am constantly searching through file folders looking for stuff.
I’m glad you are happy with your choice. I do not think you are missing out.
I have 2 external drives trying to make sure all my files are backed up. Funny enough after this issue I can now see I need another one.
Ah, I took a bite of The Apple from the start of my purchasing of devices and, well, I am in deep too. PCs are just too… ugly (and the Adobe Illustrator interface now looks like Windows and offends my aesthetics daily).
Love your pattern mixing here! That top is beautiful!
Thanks for linking up!
