Normally I don’t do baggy or linen.
This linen dress for summer is baggy.

Dress – Marshals (sim in grey with a cute neckline), Hat – Hand crafted, Necklace – Handmade, Sandals – Clarks (sim) I can tell you these Clark sandals and the one’s I’ve linked to are the most comfortable sandals. I wore them on an 8 hour walking tour of Madrid and my feet were fine.
When it comes to simple summer dressing loose, cool linen with pockets is perfect.
Plus this my colour, and apparently now I can wash linen on delicate. No more dry-cleaning costs, which I despise.
Yes it can still wrinkle, but I’m willing to look past that when it keeps me so cool.
What is your ideal summer dressing?
On a side note…yesterday’s post was my 1,500 post! Gah! Unbelievable.

I can’t deal with the creases in linen and although it feels so nice to wear I just feel wrong.
The colour is fab on you and the shape is really cute. I’m too much of a wuss to wear sandals yet, it’s too cold! xxx
PS Happy 1500!

I can’t deal with the creases in linen and although it feels so nice to wear I just feel horrible.

Love that photo of you in the hat, Suzanne. So pretty! Congrats on the 1500th post! Wow! I’m somewhere in the 300’s. I love your staying power. 🙂 I don’t wear much linen, but in summer, especially if I’m traveling somewhere humid (like this summer) staying cool is essential. Fun look for summer!
xx
I love the feel, look, and the whole idea of linen. Even on men. But the wrinkles are a challenge. Linen dresses with pockets is so ideal for summer too. I recently bought a linen tunic shirt and I don’t like the way it scrunches up in the back at my butt from sitting, but I’ll keep wearing it because I feel good.
This dress is very cute on you!
Wow, your comment-figure really pumps up when Vix leaves five of ’em!
I like linen as a fabric. Sure, nobody likes wrinkles but it’s Summer so relax. Enjoy. Lean back and read.
I absolutely adore the look of linen! It always reminds me of Europe, especially my native Lithuania where it’s been our favorite summer fabric for centuries. Yes, the wrinkles are a bit annoying, but I don’t think you’re expected to have a perfectly ironed garment when wearing linen. I think of it as part of a look.
While rumpled linen suits can look fabulous on European men, I can’t say I love linen on me – I just look as though I’ve slept in my clothes… That dress is a very pretty colour and style though, and as you say, it’s a good fabric for keeping cool. I hear ya about the comfortable shoes, my feet are becoming increasingly fussy! xxx
I am so glad you gave in, as this dress is amazing! The fit, color and fabric is gorgeous on you! I am a huge fan of linen and awesome that you don’t have to dry clean it now! Dry cleaning can be so costly. I really love your accessories as they are the perfect compliments!

I love this dress. I would wear it all summer long if it were mine. The color is so pretty and it looks really great on you! My ideal summer wear is definitely a looser sundress or skinny jeans/denim shorts and a flowy tank top.
You are lovable with that dress! Wonderful colour too. I love linen as it is very comfortable with high temperatures … and talking of comfort, I totally agree about Clarks!!!
It’s not just linen; I can wrinkle too but I’m willing to look past that if I’m cool. Heh.
I loove this dress in soft berry! It does look cool and comfortable AND stylish, especially with the you-made pendant and DIY hat, right? The comfortable shoes are looking good too. My sandal supply is low.
I know exactly what you mean about this type of dress. True, they fit loose and they aren’t really a style one could say is figure flattering, and yet, as you rightly said, they are sooooooooo comfortable. I bought one last summer and was wearing it constantly on our trips. Just last week I found two more at my thrift shop for only CHF 3 a piece (about $3)!!! They were a bit big, but I snapped them right up and sized them down a little here at home. Oh, and I like that they have pockets, so nice when traveling. The creases don’t bother me, that’s linen. This one looks great on you!
It’s a cute dress. And linen… I hate linen, the wrinkles… That being said, I have some linen trousers, so comfy in summer. We all break our own rules, and sometimes it works, like now with your dress.
I guess Vix really doesn’t like linen! But I do. I love wrinkly clothes. things that look comfortable and say that you’re not trying too hard. And I think this is the most perfect summer look. Not baggy, roomy, to let the summer breezes blow through. Wheeee! You look beautiful in this color.
I love linen – wrinkles and all! I need more linen in my closet. This dress is adorable on you, especially with your great hat and you-made necklace. It certainly is an ideal Summer outfit, in my book. xxx
Congrats on the blogging milestone! As far as linen goes, I’m not a fan…but that didn’t stop me from purchasing two linen tunics to wear with leggings this summer. Hahaha
You look fab as always!!

I love this!! A great color on you, and perfect with pockets. Looks extra snazzy with the hat. I assume this is another necklace you made. Talented! My friend was showing me how to make a necklace on the weekend, and boy, you need patience. I dont know if that is my virtue!

I love the look of linen but hate the wrinkles too. With that said, I recently bought a pair of wide white linen pants and love them. I am learning to accept that it will always wrinkle and just wear it.
Great dress, this color does look great on you.

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
It can be interesting to see people try something out of the usual for them. Also- congrats on that milestone number of posts! Wow!
Such a great dress for hot weather! The definition at the waist is nice and the color suits you.
I have an unhealthy interest in loose-fitting dresses right now — I buy them with the vow to wear them belted, then decide to ditch the belt in the interest of comfort. And then I take blog photos and wonder why I look like I’m wearing a bag …
Clarks is one of my go-to shoe brands. I tried Dansko for a while but I find that the Clarks fit my feet better.
Ive got many pairs of Clarks heels that are about x100 more comfortable than flats – they make the most comfy shoes ever, I love them. The styles have got much trendier over the years too. I own absolutely nothing in linen because I am far too lazy to take an iron to anything, but I do like this dress. Suits you very well!
That’s such a great color on you! I’ve never owned linen before but I think now that we’ve moved to Georgia I may be adding it to my closet. Wrinkles and all. My favorite summer dressing is a colorful skirt, tank, and sandals. Easy and comfortable.
Oh I do baggy linen dresses and I have some major dress envy here! I love this one! I use a steamer now instead of an iron and I worry less about wrinkles anyhow. I find the dresses don’t wrinkle as much as linen trousers do but maybe that’s just me. I would seriously mug you and steal this outfit. xoxo
I would certainly not call that dress “baggy” – it is more loose-fitting than you usually wear your clothing, but it still has a shape, and the colour is beautiful on you. I have a few linen pieces I wear in the summer, and while I don’t like the quick-creasing factor, it is sooo comfortable on a hot sticky day.
This is breezy, summery, and lovely! And I adore that watermelon shade on you. As always, you’ve done a fabulous job of giving your dress a hip twist with the hat and necklace.

The colour of that dress is indeed beautiful on you. And I like the sandals a lot too (and that coming from me eh??) Had to laugh when you said that you despise dry cleaning. I am the opposite. Sometimes I think they could run their business on my clothes alone.
