How to wear monochromatic blue?
It’s complicated.
Go to your closet…
Choose all the blue pieces from your wardrobe and throw them on the bed.
Eye up which ones will work together in an outfit.
Try them on.
Eventually you will find something that looks good together.
Voilà!
You’ve just graduated from How to Wear Monochromatic 101!
I didn’t even realize I was wearing monochromatic until I looked back at the photos. The hat photographed almost black but is in fact dark navy blue.
This was just me trying to figure out another way to wear my blue crushed velvet booties.

I’m having one of those days where my brain has gone on strike. Or rather it has been suffocated into submission. I have chronic sinusitis and it has gotten so bad lately that it is making even the simplest tasks exceedingly challenging. I feel like a zombie on tranquilizers with a band of rowdy drunk mice playing bongo drums and dancing the cha cha in tap shoes on my brain. I even have a rash on my face from their shenanigans. I might have to break down and make a visit to the monster Doctor. Did I mention I hate Doctors? Well hate might be too strong mild of a description…despise with every living cell in my body might be more accurate. Doctors and Dentists. Not my favourite people.
Who are your least favourite people?

You poor thing, that sounds vile. You’d never guess you were under the weather with your fabulous blue on blue outfit though, I need those boots and that hat in my life.
Feel better soon. xxx
Oh no, that sounds awful. I hope you start feeling better very soon! I don’t so much mind going to the doctor, but I really don’t enjoy the dentist. Yikes.
Your blue on blue on blue looks very nice. Those boots are amazing!
I’m sorry, dear. Feel better. If you want a cure for anything, visit my blog. There’s special medicine being offered today — amazing pictures!
So sorry you are feeling blue!
Your boots shine out so beautifully in these shots.
Is that a new wall? Cool! xo Jazzy Jack
I “dropped” that wall in behind myself in Photoshop. I was bored with my white curtains and it lets me show off some of my previous work when I designed scrapbooking paper.
Well, if it’s any consolation…you sure look cute! Love the outfit. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Dream snatchers are my least favorite people. Those boots are so extremely delicious!
Always learn a new word from you! Snatch – good to know. And I agree, those drive me mad too.
That sounds horrible! I hope your trip to the doctor helped ease the pains. I have really bad allergies right now and I went to the allergist to see what they recommend. I was required to do the allergy test to confirm what I already knew and they prescribed OTC medications. I was shocked when I received a bill for $500! for things I could’ve done myself. So I agree doctors are not my favorite people right now.
Totally adore this blue look and I can probably recreate with things similar in my closet sans those awesome blue velvet boots!

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
Oh my! Seriously??? $500??? Yikes. I am grateful for full health care here. Even if I still don’t like the Dr.
You are totally rocking monochromatic blue which is one of the colors of the year also. I especially love the accessories here, Suzanne. Oh my!

Haha! I loved your tip of choosing monochromatic pieces and honestly I wouldn’t have thought to do just that. I love your outfit by the way. Blue is one of my favorite things to wear. I would love to have you link up to “Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me” that went live today, each week I feature five posts from the previous link up.

I always go to the doctor because it is almost always something weird and off-beat that if untreated is a huge problem. But that’s just me and the genes my dad gave us :/
I do like this outfit. I always feel a bit awkward wearing blue with jeans, but that’s just silly when such cute monochromatic looks are there!
I broke my arm and it took me over a month to go to the Dr. When I got there she sent me to Emergency. Sad but true. I’ve felt this way since I was 5 years old and had my tonsils removed. It was a very bad experience and they haven’t improved.
I know you’ve had your share of health issues so I’m glad you get in right away.
Blue blue…. blue suede shoes.. blue blue.. I love it! Love your background very funky, the outfit is fab..monochomatic perfection. Don’t worry your brain is on strike, my arm is on strike.
Great job on the look!
thanks for linking up with TH Tuesday!

Hope your arm is feeling better soon lady!
I do think of that song every time I wear these ; )
Sinusitis is the pits, I hope you are feeling a bit better now.
Loving the all-blue outfit – casual yet so chic, and those boots are wonderful. xxx
The outfit is great. Love blue with your hair, but I am still laughing about the monster/doctor thing! 🙂
now you have your doctorate in style lady!
Love the simple how to on this bless post.
A+ for humor too.
Now for the nose,
tryt he Netty pot. it rids your nose of all of life nasty things with a quick rinse of saline, if that is too icky use, a simple saline spray with a nozzle, easier to master.
If it is worse this time of year, attribute it to pollen and hay fever, If it is year round, seek a consul with an allergist.
try to avoid antihistimines…
Wisdom is when to see the white coat and when to just .not. I would recommend a kinder and gentler creature called an NP, a nurse practitioner… they spend more time with you and can RX, and cost less.
More time asking questions, less time probing your nose with instruments.
Feel better,
You nose is telling you something is not agreeing with it. Respect your nose and eliminate the root cause., if possible .
( yes, i have fictional white coat…)

I hope you feel better!! You look amazing! You will laugh, but it IS you who introduced me to this complicated idea to throw everything of one color on the bed and just play with it. I though we supposed to just open our closet and elegantly pick the right items right away! :)))))
I saw those shoes and my breath caught in my throat. Amaaaaaazing! I’m obsessed. Also, I think you did a beautiful job mixing different shades of the same hue, here. Monochromatic blue is really hard to do!

I see that I am far behind in reading your posts. I will catch up now.
As for the blue look, yes you have found an excellent way to wear those cute boots again. The way to get there tires me though. Isn’t that strange? I don’t mind looking in shops and trying on various things, but I cannot be bothered to take everything out of my closet to try it on. Could it be that in the shop the sales lady puts everything back in the store?
And the doctor… hmm… perhaps you should search for another person? One who you have more faith in? Although I can understand that broken arms need to be fixed in hospital. Shame on you to wait that long, you only make matters worse. Easy for me to say as I don’t mind the doctor at all and even the dentist doesn’t really frighten me, just unpleasant. But I have not had any bad experiences. Perhaps a little psychological help to get the fear back in perspective before you do foolish things out of fear? Or am I too Dutch now? It isn’t that I don’t understand, but it sounds like a fear that will only get worse.

Love this look, Suzanne! Blue is supposedly ‘my’ color, as I have been told by the color-gurus. Luckliy i DO like it, but not the darkish blue or the grayish blue that they recommended me. I like lighter and/or brighter colors, as you may know by now.
On you this looks fab though. Really nice.
I had sinusitis too, two times during the last months, and it IS debilitating indeed. Hope you succeeded to conquer it by now!
