Karina Dress Styled Three Ways
Karina Dress Styled Three Ways
I adore purple and grey together. This old purple leather jacket is a favourite of mine.

Grey is a wonderful option as it isn’t as harsh as black.
The subtle pattern on this dress creates lush visual texture and the neutral colour works with everything I own.
This dress would be an option to consider instead of your typical LBD.
The tone on tone pattern adds personality.

Here is me doing my best “pro model” pose to show you the dress has pockets.

It only took me 8 years to master that pose.
Yay me!

Did I ever mention that before I had my blog I was intensely camera shy? I despised photos of myself. As soon as the camera came out my body and facial muscles would stiffen. My photos looked like mug shots of serial killers. I avoided having my photo taken as much as possible prior to my blog.
Style blogging has taught me to relax a bit more in front of the camera.
I was a bit like Chandler from Friends.
To this day there are years in my life where no photos were taken. Unlike today’s “selfie” obsessed generation the non existence of photos with “likes” didn’t measure my self worth. I fear for the young girls that are growing up with the added pressure of social media influencing their internal dialog.
I have no sweet segueway back to the dress so we’ll just jump back shall we?

Tomorrow I have one more outfit to share.
You might like to see how I styled another Karina dress for the summer.
Styling A Dress For A Christmas Office Party
Just because Zoë and I are the only ones in my office doesn’t mean we don’t like to throw our own little office party.
Doggie treats and Cheesies are on the menu.
I know Cheesies are bad for me but I’ve been craving them for about 35 years now. It’s the holidays! We all get to be naughty.
Or do I have this confused with another holiday?
{shrugs}
I’ve told Zoë she can wear this

And I’ll wear my Karina dress with a blinged out belt, some fake fur and a lounge singer’s velvet blazer I “borrowed”.

I can wear the lounge singer’s blazer but if you want me to sing I’ll need one full bottle of Moët for me (no sharsies!)
And some serious ear plugs for you.

Zoë has been known to run and hide under a couch when I try to carry a tune.
You’ll move to the next table and pretend you don’t know me when we are at Karaoke.

Ha! Joking! I never sing at Karaoke. I’ll watch and laugh though.
Karaoke is my worst nightmare. Worse than public speaking or public nudity.

I think I like this best with the fake fur snood. It looks richer. Plus it was only around 7 C when these photos were taken and as soon as I took off that snood I was freezing.
Of course after my first martini and bag of Cheesies I warmed up darn quick and off came the snood.
I’m not gonna tell you all the antics we got up to. Suffices to say that my husband everyone else at the office will be talking about this party at the kitchen sink water cooler for years to come.
Back to my Karina dress and the giveaway because you don’t want to miss out on that.
