How To Wear Red Leather, Paisley, Leopard & Snakeskin & Still Keep It Classy

I'm so excited to show off my thrift finds from my little trip to BC. I got the red Danier leather skirt and the blouse for $8!

Necklace – vintage gift, Leopard Patterned Handbag – gift, Snakeskin Patterned Shoes – TJ Maxx
Isn't the pattern on the blouse beautiful?
Never mind all the wispy bits of my fine hair. This is my rendition of a straight haired Chia pet wearing sunglasses.

And of course it matches the skirt perfectly.

I managed to mix the three different patterns no problem.

This is how to get away with wearing lots of items
red leather, leopard, snakeskin,
that could come off as …how do I put this eloquently…
trashy.
Or like something from the late 1970's that Rod Stewart would wear.
Give it up for the dude's ability to pattern mix!
I think I managed to keep it looking rather sophisticated.
Even,
dare I say it…
a bit…

Do you own any red leather?
Or do you think it is utterly tasteless and should be restricted to the privacy of the bedroom?
Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talkin' bout ; )

10 Ways To Style A Little Black Dress

Simple Solutions to Style a Little Black Dress
Why do I love this little black dress? I can layer over or under it with ease. It’s stretchy (aka super comfortable) and travels very well (thank you poly blend).
It goes from day to night, casual to dressy and doesn’t need ironing or special care in the washer.
Basically it is one piece where I can do no wrong.
I bought it through TJ Maxx a few years back. It is by Cynthia Rowley.
Oh! I forgot to mention the BEST thing…it has pockets! I know, sounds silly but a dress without pockets is like the sky without the sun for me.

To style a little black dress, the options are as vast as your imagination. It is a blank canvas.
Pop some bold pink or red shoes on, add a bright blazer.
Do you like scarves? Add one.
Or simply skip all the extra colour and add bling instead.
It’s up to you and what you feel like that day. Little black dresses are one of the most forgiving adaptable, easy going pieces you will ever have in your closet.
How many little black dresses do you own? For a gal that really doesn’t wear black too often I own three little black dresses.
What is your favourite way to style your little black dress?
PS The lovely Carrie suggested another option for a LBD…pairing it with the trend du jour…a kimono. Great idea!
