Whenever I'm given fresh flowers as a gift I'm always saddened that they rarely last more than a week.

In an effort to preserve the flowers my hubby gave me I decided to make a fresh rose garland so I could enjoy them longer.

When the roses were almost fully opened and getting a bit droopy I followed these instructions.

I had the garland made in about 10 minutes and up and hung in about 15.

Now that they've started to dry it looks more like this

Not as vibrant but still quite pretty and charming.

Plus now I get to enjoy them longer : )

I have a pair of floral pants.

I bought them 2 years ago and figured one pair of floral pants in the closet was more than enough, especially since I'd written a whole blog post on why NOT to wear floral pants.

Be careful what you blog about folks. One day it will come back to bite you in the buttocks.

So naturally when I saw these Mavi jeans on sale

for an unbelievable $8 at TJ Maxx I convinced myself that of course, one pair of patterned floral pants was certainly not enough.

I have to admit that this floral pants *trend* keeps reappearing. Soon it won't be considered a trend anymore.

*Disclaimer*…these shoes. These damn gorgeous BCBG purple suede shoes that I love with all my heart but can only wear for 5 minutes at a time without having serious meds administered have now been lent to my girlfriend who, at the early age of 56, discovered after not being able to wear any kind of heel her whole life, that she can now miraculously dance in them all night long!

It is a miracle folks.
