Full Flare Feminine Skirt

Who doesn’t love a full flare feminine skirt? Especially for summer. Something about the swinging motion as I walk and the breeze that catches the skirt makes me feel sassy, free-spirited and yeah maybe even a little bit younger.

Since these photos were taken I’ve cut about five to six inches off my hair. There is a whole lot less blond in it now.

When I was younger I’d go from very long hair to a pixie cut. Needless to say I don’t look good with a pixie cut. I also permed my hair when spiral perms were all the rage. Did you know that perms are coming back? I kid you not.  I’d love to get one again just for a change but I can’t colour and perm so I choose colour. Plus, growing out a perm is murder.

It took some forty years to find what works best with my fine, bone straight, thin hair. It takes me about five minutes to blow dry my hair and it’s done.  I don’t do anything else. The cut does all the work. When I don’t wash my hair I only have to brush it. Doesn’t get easier than that. When something is that simple to manage it makes life easier.

I also know that flare skirts work well for my body shape and are easy and comfortable to wear without sacrificing style. I guess that is the beauty of aging…we know what we like and what works for us.
