Retro Inspired Fall Outfit
Ideally I like to purchase authentic retro clothes while estate sale shopping rather than reproductions but this dress really caught my eye. Looks like something Agent 99 from Get Smart would wear. Remember her?

I had the biggest girl-crush on Agent 99. Her hair! This is a terrific modern version – I can see you wearing it. xox
Barbara Feldon! After her acting career ended, she opened an art gallery in NYC. Love the clothes.
Miss? Excuse me, miss? I just read your comment on Patti’s blog and want to say how good you look for your age. But why are you wearing a turtleneck in Summer? 🙂
Ha ha!
Well, thank you! I’ve just been introduced to Get Smart and I think I need to find it and watch it, it looks right up my street.
Love a 1960s shift with a floppy hat and bad ass lace up boots, a look I like when it gets a bit cooler and I can dig my opaques out.
You would totally rock that dress! xxx
I am gunning for a hat like this and a pair of black suede boots this autumn/winter. They will be mine!
I don’t remember, but I dig this outfit!
Of course I remember Agent 99! I just love this look. And 60’s style in general. This is a great look for you. You would rock that hat. I was a little kid in the 60’s and I had some groovy mini skirted teen aged Gidget type baby sitters that I totally admired.
I remember the series and the guy but I cannot remember Barbara. Doesn’t matter. I am from that era so I remember the dresses as well.
This one is particularly nice. I was even tempted to order it from abroad. But your promoting on your blog has done its work. It is sold out.

PS would it work with a little black vest.. as in covering arms and such? Or would that spoil the whole look?
I think a better idea would be a faux turtle neck mid sleeve top/sweater in black underneath. Very 1970’s. Also it would look like it was part of the dress. I could see the dress working very well in winter with tights and the turtleneck sweater (long sleeved).
Oh good idea…. Now it is only a matter of finding and ordering the dress haha. And for the girls to fit into it….
I’ve not seen it but I’d love to wear that look, so cool AND my new ankle boots would go great with it!!x
Oh yeah, I loved Agent 99. I wish a had a Cone of Silence! I’d take it with me everywhere. And a shoe cell phone, although that might be icky. You’d hold up your in-built shoe camera and everyone in the image would make grossed out faces looking at the bottom of your shoe. Hahaha. You could wear this outfit to perfection, Suzanne, with the hat too.
Oh, yes, I certainly do remember her. I loved ‘Get Smart’ as a kid. This is a great set, love the dress and boots.
I watched Get Smart every day after school when it was on television. This is definitely an Agent 99 – ish ensemble. You look great in hats of that shape, and with the boots and dress, you would be definitely dressed to kill 😉
I want to go to London and wear this and pretend it is the Swinging Sixties- and possibly that I am secretly Mrs. Peel. But really, the great thing about this is- it is vintage inspired but wouldn’t look out of place on the streets of London 2015.
Love it! I agree , I would love to find the real thing in a vintage shop! I did find something sort of similar. Lisa Perry makes dresses like that, but they are expensive.
I could see you rocking this look. And yes, I do remember agent 99!

I would totally wear this. And with all of the rancher hats on store shelves right now, I just might try one on. Hats and I don’t typically get along, but maybe it’s due time to try again. I’ve purchased several shifts this past year, so I’m planning on styling them to maximum modness this fall and winter!
