Mis Papelicos had a Share in Style this week that had the prompt yellow for her link up party.
I don’t own much in yellow. One sequinned top and a pair of kitten heel pumps.
It got me thinking more about the colour yellow and how it can be quite fresh for Spring. Especially since our winter this year was so brutally frigid and like a super annoying house guest that has overstayed their welcome still refuses to leave. Two days ago it tried to snow again!
I put together this spring style inspiration outfit after I spotted that incredible skirt, but as you can see I wasn’t sure which shoes or jacket I would prefer.
Which would you choose?

Ah, you have impeccable, amazing taste, Suzanne. Can you whisk me away for some shopping today? xox
It would be my pleasure : )
I don’t think I’ve seen you in much yellow but you should own more, it looks fantastic on you. That sequin top is really pretty.
As a fellow blonde I bet you avoided it, like I did, back in the days of having our normal hair colour. I know I did. xxx
Pretty set! Love that jacket!!!
Nice. I’m loving that first outfit. Something about pale yellow on florals. <3

I’d choose the white jacket and shoes! Great skirt!
This is such a pretty shade of yellow. I am a pencil skirt girl at heart so I am would love this skirt in my closet (hint: my birthday is in August). Can’t believe it’s still snowing – you need to come to California for a visit.

I’ve rescinded my shopping ban, and I would love to go shopping with you. This outfit is absolutely gorgeous, and you look great in yellow.
I’ll take them all, s’il te plait. Yellow is one of my favorite colors, from pale to deep mustard. It looks great on redheads!
Cheers, M-T
I love yellow in spring outfits! I don’t own anything in pale yellow somehow, but love how you’ve put it with those floral pants – great colours. Mustard yellow on the other hand, I have a pair of shoes in this shade too and love wearing them – they seem to go with so much more than you think they will. I love mustard with fuschia – had no idea they went so well!
I wish I could rock yellow… nope, not the case. Pink and grey is stunning and the glitter adds subtle glamour. Enjoy the good season, Suzanne!
I love yellow but it looks horrible on me. So pretty on you! To get my yellow fix, I had to do a bright yellow bag … and keep it away from my face. Lol. You look fab in those floral pants, Suzanne. You hottie you!
Thanks for linking up with FUN FASHION FRIDAY!

I don’t own much yellow either Suzanne – a couple of bright yellow hair flowers and a tropical skirt with some yellow on it, but I actually bought my first yellow dress last week! It’s a pale, ’60s kind of yellow. Nothing says Spring like Yellow! I love the skirt you picked out, I think I’d wear the white shoes with it. x
I like the yellow on you!
I quite like all of them. And i love your yellow sequined jumper. So pretty.
You look as if it is already spring out there (I bet it is not). We are still at 7-9 degrees C but with sunshine.

Yellow is a rare find in my wardrobe, as well. I’ve never tried pale yellow like in your sequin top, but I’ve tried a mustard shade similar to the hue of your heels. I like how you mixed the cool yellow with the warm palette of your printed pants. It makes the yellow more palatable and makes my eye bounce between the top and the bottom instead of focusing on the glaring yellow. It’s funny because I’m sure the yellow isn’t glaring to most people, but because I’ve never been terribly comfortable with the shade, it steals the focus away from everything else. I’ve never tried on a pale yellow, so your outfit inspires me to give it a shot!
I would try the printed skirt with the white bag and red jacket and shoes!
