I’m not one to do lots of sponsored posts. This is the second one I’ve done in nine years of blogging. We all have our weaknesses though. When Walk Trendy contacted me and I saw that I had Pinned and lusted after this bold floral maxi dress for the past couple of months I wasn’t able to say no.
The maxi dress arrived in less than a week… very quickly for overseas shipping.
As you can see the colours of the dress are striking. I chose a medium after measuring myself and it turned out to be the correct size for me. Normally I take a small so I would suggest you pay extra attention to the measurements on their website.
At only 5’4″ you can see that this maxi dress is *almost* a bit short on me. I don’t mind, since it makes it the perfect length for flats and easier to walk. If you are taller take the length into consideration when ordering.
The skirt is very full, there is a ton of fabric in this dress.
It is a bit transparent, I’d recommend a slip underneath.
You can’t tell but it was only around 13 C here and I was FREEZING my butt off to get these photos. I know…I’m a woose. I was wearing black leggings and a camisole underneath as a hidden layer of warmth.
I like the long sleeves…it is so hard to find dresses with full sleeves.
If I didn’t wear the camisole underneath I would have pinned the neck closed as it gaped a bit.
The dress is a bit short waisted, but the long fabric sash can be tied at your natural waist.
It is 100% polyester and I couldn’t see any loose threads or issues with the sewing of the garment.
The dress itself is beautiful and romantic and I can see myself wearing it quite often during summer, especially since it looks great with flats.
Walk Trendy has generously offered to sponsor a $50 giveaway for one of my lucky readers!
Here are some pieces I chose from their current offerings…all under $50.
Do you like any of the pieces I chose? I have been eyeing up that black jumpsuit since it is similar to the one I used in this outfit.
To enter you must register at Walk Trendy (super quick and easy, just name, email and password required) and then leave a comment below with your full email address.
The winner will be chosen via Random.org and emailed on April 28th at 1 pm EST.
Good luck!

They have some really cute dresses!
Those pictures are definitely deceiving, because I was thinking that it was looking like full-blown, warm, spring had come to the frigid North. I’m loving that it’s open-toe shoe weather again here. Sure, winter was very mild, but I still prefer no winter at all.
That’s a brilliant dress, and look so wonderful on you – why not say yes to something you love? xox
oops! I forgot my email: patti at nhsys dot com. xo
I like that black jumpsuit…I might actually wear it! jodie

I’m not much one for dresses, but I would wear a maxi with long sleeves. And, I love, love, love the row of blouses you choose to feature!
Suzanne
Love this print ! I really do like the length on you with the sandals. I actually do not own one maxi dress, need to get on the bandwagon! Love the last maxi in the top row, and of course the floral black one 4th one over!
thank you for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday!

You did such a great job on photography here, Suzanne! You look summery striking – at first I thought, you are on vacation in some beautiful and warm place! 🙂 You pinned this dress and they offered it to you? Of course you took this opportunity, who wouldn’t! 🙂 Great choice. xxx
So that’s the dress you mentioned in your comment about accepting a freebie! I don’t blame you, it looks fabulous and totally your style. Kudos to you for braving the cold and layering up underneath.
Adore that shot of you on the bench enveloped in folds of funky fabric. xxx
It’s a beautiful dress, and long sleeves are practical (protect your skin from the sun), and it’s such an easy-breezy summery, delicious dress… but polyester?!? My inner snob is choking here, claiming that she’s allergic to artificial fibers, or something…
OH, you photos are lovely Suzanne! I especially love the one where you are in front of the lake. You can see that the fabric is diaphanous, but that adds to the romantic look!
Suzanne, I’m with you on turnng down most of the sponsored posts that fill my emails, but I’m also with you on this one. No way would I have turned this one down, NO WAY! And this maxi is so you! Ok, I love this company for one reason so far, becuase they actually made a maxi which some of us petite woman can wear and not have to alter. Also loving the long sleeves for a change, what a fun hippie yet modern feel it sends.
Love the choices you also pointed out to us, my heart is quite set on either that floral sheath or the soft, flowey black and white floral maxi.
That’s a lovely dress, I can see why you accepted the freebie, Suzanne! Gorgeous print and colours, and the full skirt and sleeves add both romance and drama. xxx
How earthy you look in this bold printed maxi. You seem to flow perfectly with the organic surroundings. You look like you belong in a fashion spread. Well done!
You look SMASHING in that beautiful maxi! The print really suits you. Thanks for the chance and introduction to this interesting store. this dress is my favorite so far: http://www.walktrendy.com/dresses/floral-dresses/floral-sleeveless-hooded-dress-cy-zf-8016.html

Oh, such a lovely dress! It looks wonderful on you.
The floral patterns are amazing
Awesome dress! It really looks terrific on you! I’m not usually a floral lover, but this one appeals to me!
You seem so much taller than 5’4″. That’s my height too!
Great dress. So much fabric! Perfect for romantically blowing in the wind. And I like how you spread the skirt out on the bench.
Again, a perfect blogger/corporate fit, win-win.
I hope you have warmer weather SOON!
Love the dress. The print is fabulous, the colors look rich and I agree, Long sleeves are hard to find and very necessary when AC is always blasting.
The photos are stunning. I can see why you went for this dress and this company!

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
Wow, this dress is seriously stunning on you! I really love it. You look gorgeous. I never would have thought you were 5’4″. We are the same height. You look so tall in your photos!
The dress is very nice and it looks gorgeous on you! Floral prints are feminine and I love them…flat sandals and the hat make your outfit special!
It’s so amazing, the coincidence, cause I was going to buy that same dress you are wearing, one day! I love maxi dresses and like you said, it’s so difficult to find one with sleeves! And I love sleeves! I found the pieces that you selected very nice, especially a white top with flowers! Good luck to everybody!

Their collections is awesome; loving all about it.
What a fabulous maxi dress. Looks good on you Suzanne and I’m loving the collection.

That dress is so beautiful!

That picture of you in front of the river with the wind billowing out the skirt is so… more than beautiful, it is so visually striking!
Get it, girl! This maxi is so gorgeous. Now if only springtime would arrive so you didn’t have to wear it with all those layers! It definitely looks like something you’d buy yourself and wear here on the blog. The print and palette are so vibrant. And those belled sleeves. *sigh* I haven’t heard of WalkTrendy, so thanks for the introduction. I am obsessed with this dress:

I have a similar shaped Ranna Gill dress from Anthro, and it’s one of my summertime favorites. I think it’s such an interesting, drapey silhouette, and the navy color is so versatile. Plus, their prices are great. Needless to say – I’m entering!

Hey Suzanne,
Came back to you thru your Etsy Shop and your hand painted shoes. You nailed it by picking this dress since it’s so you, I even would wear more colourful shoes under the dress. I love the other pickings that are more mainstream, but still with good tailoring and nice details. You did what you love and made me discover a brand and style I didn’t know, thank you. Here’s my email: aanbarbara@gmail.com
Love that dress!

Fun prints! You look fantastic in the maxi dress. I’m 5’2″ and have avoided maxis thinking they would overwhelm me. I’m inspired to try a few and see how it goes.
