Of course I have no intention of spending $115 for a striped t-shirt. I hope to find a striped tee thrifting and then simply paint on the words. Ya-huh.
This started out as a pastel set and then morphed into red white and blue. If my feet could stand ballet flats I’d want them in red.

Yep, I’d wear it. And I’m with you on the shoes, like the red but would go for something other than ballet flats.
When I saw the title I thought, uh-oh, flag dressing, the US flag, which is okay but, still, I’m Canadian. (If I dress in red and white, nobody says, oh, you’re dressed like the Canadian flag. Plus, it’s only two colours, a bit more boring.) But this look you’ve chosen is not flaggish. I would wear a variation of this but your DIY is a waaay better idea.

I do love the tee, but you’re right…hells no at $115! I just wore red, white and blue the other day. I do every so often, but it’s a combo that you have to be careful with so that it doesn’t go off the rails into crazy 4th of July outfit.
