Okay so enough of my whining as of late. I did in fact get out 2 days before my birthday for some pre-birthday fun.
We went to the distillery district of Toronto.
A funky artsy place made up of old buildings and artifacts that used to be the largest distillery in North America.
There are unique shops (priced extra high for tourists!) cool galleries and great restaurants.
Our beverages of choice that day.
GotStyle was a lovely shop – very high end. Reminded me of stores you see on Rodeo Drive. Robert ended up scoring a super cute bow tie from here as a belated birthday gift for him.
I loved this Ted Baker dress. It had the most unique pleating I've ever seen. So pretty!
No…I did not buy it. Too rich for my blood.
This is the main square of the Distillery District. Did I mention there is a Fluevog store there?
Um, yeah. Which may explain my shopping bag here.
For these lovelies, my first ever pair of Fluevogs. For those unaquainted with the amazing Fluevog check out their story here. No I didn't get paid to promote their brand but I did really like their store and the gal that helped me.
It was a lovely day spent with my hubby.
I so much prefer this to my birthday at the ER. : ) Thanks baby!
Great pics – you look fabulous!
Those shoes are stunning!! I love them. That does look like an enjoyable day spent with the husband.
Sounds to me like a perfect birthday celebration! Shopping is my idea of a good time. The shoes are lovely, I’ll have to check out the Fluevog story. Thanks for commenting on my blog 😉

Happy Bday! Love the peek at Toronto’s Fluevog store- and I hope those shoes make their next appearance on next month’s Shoe Shine!
You look absolutely adorable in those pics. What fun!
I’m glad you had fun celebrating your birthday! I’m sorry to hear about all that craziness too. I hope you had a wonderful time (and those drinks are making me thirsty!) ♥

Happy to say Happy Birthday again! What a great day, and you look like an ingenue! So fresh, and pretty! I got my first pair of Fluevog’s in 1975. What a treat. Back then, I seriously think they were made in the back room of the shop. The insoles were hand tooled with poetry and personalization. {Sigh} Haven’t bought a pair since.

Thanks Olga. The skirt is actually a dress making it even more comfy.
I need to mark that on my calendar Bella : )
Thanks Marla : )
Yes it was nice that we had some good days just before and just after the whole hospital mess.
Wow! I need to see a photo of those Fluevogs. I hope you’ve managed to hang onto them after all these years. They would be collectable by now.
Thanks girlfriend : )
Thanks Rachel : ) It was a great day.
