Is this the best piece of vintage I own?
That is a bit like asking a Mother to choose her favourite child. This late 60’s early 70’s silver vintage lurex jumpsuit is one of my top ten vintage pieces without a doubt.
I didn’t even spot this in the vintage clothing store. I skipped right by it on the hanger. I’m so happy the sales associate picked it out for me. Don’t you love it when sales associates are truly helpful?
This jumpsuit easily made the cut for NYC and the blogger meet-up.
I couldn’t believe it fit me so well when I tried it on. Did I mention how comfortable it is?
And yet, I feel like a movie star in it. It is like having your cake and eating it too.
Is it pants? Is it a dress? It is love?
Oh yes!

This vintage jumpsuit is flashy, unusual and chic. It makes me feel three inches taller and ten years younger. Every piece of clothing in my closet needs to start living up to those standards.
I’m so disappointed that the little vintage store in Elora where I bought this has closed. They have an Etsy store, but it isn’t nearly as exciting.
Ah well, I’ll just be happy with the treasures I scored there over the years, especially this last beauty.
Do you have a favourite item of clothing that makes you feel special?

Amazing jumpsuit! And even better that it’s comfortable!!!
Whoa!! Definite movie-star material! Suzanne on the red carpet!
Amazing jumpsuit! You do look like you should be on a red carpet in it. Whenever I get a dress that truly fits, that tends to be when something makes me feel amazing! A pretty rare day for this short lady…
This silver metallic jumpsuit is stunning. No wonder it is the best vintage piece you own, Suzanne. I love it and your styling is perfect, too.
Beautiful movie star, you! I can see why it’s a favorite. I’m checking out their Etsy store just in the wild hopes another treasure like this will appear. xox

Wowza, I bet you feel like you can take on the world wearing that! It’s just wonderful on you. I don’t own a jumpsuit, but now I want one!! Xx
You DO look like a movie star. Yes, we should expect our clothes to elevate our spirit. As for my magical outfit….I haven’t found it yet.
Holy jamoly, these are SERIOUS celebrity photos. I like them! You DO look like a movie star. Cool photo of you with the hair across your face, not that I don’t like seeing your face, but it’s arty. And I love your pic and bio in the sidebar too. Heart emoticons.
This jumpsuit is a treasure. I’m so glad you found it with the help of the sales associate. My fave piece? Probably my shaggy maxi rock-star coat but I’ve been known to change my mind.
Wow! That is a stunning piece! Thank goodness for that helpful sales person for pointing this out to you!

You do look like a moviestar. And yes I love it when a sales assistant is helpful (and knowledgeable). They can sell me anything if they are good. You know what a sucker I am.
A jumpsuit, a dress, silver, so unique, so fitting, so comfortable…. yes definitely in your top ten.
AMAZING AWESOME.

Ron loves it too. He doesn’t like what I was wearing today (two new outfits…) but he does like what you wear. I might kill him quietly when he sleeps.

Ha ha! Watch out Ron ; 0
wouuu, it’s an awesome piece, and you look absolutely Stunning wearing it, oh yeah, like a RockStar!!!, fabulousness!!!. It even moves when you walk!!!
I think my most loved vintage pieces are related to good stories, things that happened to me when I bought them and so.
besos
This piece is so fluid when I walk. I feel like I need to constantly be moving so people get to see it in action.
Clothing with stories is clothing we normally hang onto for life.
there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this jumpsuit is and how great you look in it!
xo,
nancy
Wonderful jumpsuit, Suzanne! You really look like a movie star … I have no vintage clothings but … many clothes that I love in special way …
I can see why you like it, it’s a beaut! And it looks great on you, too.
WOW!! This is just stunning!! I want all my clothes to make me taller and slimmer. I have no words on how gorgeous this look is.

PS your handmade bag and blue suede boots are perfect the accompaniment
PPS I don’t really own anything especially vintage. I have some nice things I’ve made, and some second hand things I love. Like silk shirts and wool coats. Also some nice boots and shoes. But I don’t live in your rarified air. Have to raise the kids first!
OH Suzanne! You are gorgeous! This is such a one of kind garment…absolutely beautiful! I can see how it would easily be a favourite!
PS I love your new photo at the top!
Absolutely stunning. Looks like it was made for you, both in style and fit. I like your new clothing mantra – keeping that in mind as I clean out my closet!
I usually love raiding my mum and grans cupboards when I feel like looking vintage – but this playsuit is gorgeous!!!! Wow. You look incredible – like an absolute supermodel.
Stunning babe and with the color of your hair the silver is just perfect.
New follower! Really hope to keep in touch xxx

That is one incredible piece and the photos do it absolute justice!
I’ve never met a vintage garment I didn’t love! xxx
It’s a stunning piece, and you look just amazing! Beyoncé better look out, there’s a classier act in town…
I shall now expect every photograph of you to have a hoard of papparazzi stalking you in the background being fended off by your entourage!
That is one outfit of red carpet magnitute. And of course, those booties, I just love those booties.
That is because you look like a movie star! favorite, yes! Love the retro , but timeless look and the way the fabric moves! Adore the blue velvet booties, and the floral clutch is perfect with it.
I would agree with your premise , probably my favorite vintage pieces ( and this will be no suppose to you) are bags .. My $3.00 leopard round bag leaps to mind ( from a tag sale)
You look amazing! I hope you are feeling well too.

I knew it would be bags for you : ) Although you do have quite a good selection of everything.
Just getting over the flu that my husband gifted me. Nice guy.
Oh my! That is a stunning piece of clothing, old or new! Spectacular photos, and a really amazing find, you look wonderful! xxx
You look STUNNING in it! Love how you styled it!

“Is it pants? Is it a dress? Is it love?” Not sure about the first two but definitely the last one! You DO look like a movie star! And its comfortable! And so unique 😀
Hmmm…. best vintage you own? That’s a tricky one to answer, now that I’m trying to decide…
That is an incredible dress! Stunning and it does fit you perfectly. I also love that you paired it with your blue suede booties and your floral clutch.

The jumpsuit is a stellar piece of vintage, and yes, I would like all my clothing to make me feel taller, slimmer and younger. The sparkly swishy-ness of it is very glam – definitely a red-carpet piece.
I have a number of pieces of vintage I love – the two Japanese haoris that I purchased last year in New York get worn often and I feel kind of elegant when I wear them.
Now that is STUNNING! The only vintage I own, I bought new. Getting old has it’s benefits! You look fantastic!

I love this, and how it flows on you! Gorgeous glamourous shape! Its a winner!
